Kanguva story line was liked because Suriya is the best suitable for this movie crested Cut to nearly thousand years ago, in 1070, a battalion of Roman soldiers are on a conquest of a group of 5 islands, each with its own set of strengths, of which, Perumaachi is led by the warrior prince Kanguva.

Review :One of the biggest movie clashes of the year is here, and I picked this over BB3 for the sheer anticipation of a larger-than-life cinematic experience to make my festive season filled with whistles, claps, and entertainment. I also got to tick off a bucket list item by watching it on a single screen at Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy, capturing that mass appeal in full enthusiasm.
With the 5-minute trailer, the story can already be guessed: Singham leading the troupe of all cops from Shetty's cop films to rescue his love from a menacing villain.
But it’s not the story that this movie is about; rather, it’s the celebration—the reason you go to the movies. Rohit Shetty delivers 2.5 hours of non-stop entertainment. Drawing parallels to the Ramayana was a masterstroke, perfectly woven into the narrative. While there are more than a few logical loopholes, I can overlook them as the execution is purely massy, and in the setting I watched it, it was worth every penny.
Shetty Sahab has managed to bring together an envious ensemble cast. Ajay Devgn as Singham has become an emotion—he can’t go wrong, and he shines like never before. Kareena Kapoor, with her poise, manages to grab your attention. Debutante Deepika Padukone in this cop series, has blink it and you miss it role making you forget her presence. Actually, Ranveer Singh gets a supporting role with enough screen space and he hits the ball out of the park with his comic timing. Surprisingly, Arjun Kapoor was decent but not anything great. Tiger Shroff shines in action block. The cameo of Akshay Kumar give that adrenaline rush, but Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey joining the cop series was pure madness in the theatre, logically even if he doesn’t fit.
After the trailer, the makers kept promotions low-key, and I’m glad they did, as the surprises have been preserved. There are enough and more reference to political world which is clap worthy and pinch of giving you a patriotism. The dialogue writer deserves a special mention for writing some solid lines which brought the theatres rooftop down. Rohit Shetty for a change showed how directorial talents by having mind boggling frames. The action sequences being a true highlight, delivered a visual spectacle.
No doubt, Rohit Shetty has given you a Diwali gift you can’t refuse. It’s a pure masala entertainer packed with drama, emotions, music, fights, revenge—everything to satisfy your craving for entertainment many times over. If possible, watch it on a single screen to get that full massy cinematic experience
